A note from Roy Goble, President of the Roy and D’Aun Goble Foundation:

For nearly twenty years Jaguar Creek has been the home for new ventures that had a global impact. Target Earth gained its international reputation here. The Creation Care Study Program was originally launched here. This unique place in the Belizean rainforest has hosted thousands of visitors who have been inspired to pursue countless dreams to change the world.

Perhaps one reason it has launched so many great things is because Jaguar Creek has always had a spiritual dimension that touched those who visited. Shortly after being completed, it was dedicated with Amos 5:24 in mind: “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” The passion to serve the poor of the world is at the core of Jaguar Creek’s mission.

For the last five years PathLight International has called the 700-acre property home, using it as a base for educational programs that serve at-risk youth. PathLight International is a Christ-centered organization that illuminates an alternative path for at-risk students, teachers and local villages in rural Belize through the integration of faith and learning.  PathLight’s innovative approach to elevate the entire educational ecosystem within local communities through three integrated programs (Sponsorship+, Teacher Training and Volunteer Service Teams) combines spiritual discipleship with academic rigor.  With the capacity to host 50+ guests and a long history of being a good neighbor to the nearby villages, Jaguar Creek has been a great resource for PathLight and provided instant credibility in the country. As PathLight has grown, the reputation of Jaguar Creek has also steadily grown.

Now Jaguar Creek, the birthplace of so many great endeavors, is being reborn itself. The time is right for Jaguar Creek to pursue its own vision unrestrained by the specific work of PathLight. The mission of PathLight is in the heart, mind and soul of the children they serve. And though Jaguar Creek would remain a significant resource and partner in that work, the potential for Jaguar Creek can be unleashed if it is allowed to pursue even more.

That is why Jaguar Creek is seeking a motivated leader who will partner with Goble Properties (GP) to refine and implement a new vision for the ministry. The GP leadership feels that Jaguar Creek has the opportunity to be a place where the Spirit of Christ creates a special place of peace, hope and love. Through this it can serve the country of Belize and international visitors in three key ways:

  1. As an education center that hosts students of all ages.
  2. As a sanctuary for spiritual formation and retreats.
  3. As a host for and initiator of short-term service teams that are culturally sensitive, spiritually transformational, and relevant to the community.

Jaguar Creek can become a place of transformation for people far and wide. Actually, it already is, but it can be even more.

If that vision captivates you as it captivates Goble Properties, then we encourage you to apply for this position. Even if you are not going to apply, we ask that you keep this position in your prayers.

Thank you.
